This is an exciting opportunity to gain a new qualification in teaching exercises suitable for active older adults who aim to prevent degeneration of muscles, joints, balance and cognition so that they can stay fit, healthy and independent for decades. With Rosemary as your main tutor, the study will begin with some e-learning for the theory part of the qualification – see sample e-learning video below.
The in-person practical course dates will take place over three weekends. In-person attendance is ideal, but we understand when the weather or family situations make this difficult. Attendance via Zoom is available and there is excellent wifi at the Rixton & Glazebrook Community Hall. In between course dates, group Zoom meetings may be scheduled.
PREREQUISITES: A suitable mindbody teaching qualification in yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi. etc. During the course, you may need to complete a safeguarding adults course either locally or online unless you already have a certificate.
