The practical sessions with Laura and occasionally other members of the Mindbody Wellness team will take place from 1-6 pm once or twice a month on Saturday and Sunday starting the weekend of 27-28 Sept. By December you will be looking at how to create lesson plans so that you can practice-teach yoga to your colleagues for formative assessment, starting in January.

This four unit course includes Anatomy & Physiology e-learning as part of your home-study hours (see sample e-learning, bottom of this page). Practical course dates take place on weekends, usually once a month. In-person attendance is ideal, but we understand when weather or family situations make this difficult. Attendance via Zoom is available with excellent wifi at the Community Hall. In between course dates, group or individual Zoom meetings may be scheduled.

ABOUT THE COURSE: This four unit course will start with Anatomy & Physiology e-learning as part of your home-study hours (see sample e-learning, bottom of this page). The practical course dates will then reinforce the knowledge gained about the anatomy and physiology and integrate it with real life application to teaching the hatha yoga postures. Within a few months you will be looking at how to create lesson plans so that you can practice-teach yoga to your colleagues for formative assessment.
You will become knowledgeable about the legal and professional responsibilities of teaching yoga and create a marketing plan for your upcoming courses for friends, family and members of the public. You will also be studying the pranic system and developing pranayama, mudra, bandha, mantra and meditation skills while also learning about the history and philosophy of yoga.
In the final unit you will be setting up a course of yoga classes that you teach in the workplace – either online on at an in-person venue. One of these lessons will be observed by a Mindbody Wellness assessor for your final summative assessment which aims to to confirm that you do indeed have the professional competence to be a yoga teacher that has met the occupational standards.
PREREQUISITES: Ideally, you will have been practising yoga for at least 1-2 years. It is expected that you will have Level 2 Maths and English or equivalent. You must have access to a computer device with a webcam (desktop, laptop or tablet) for the coursework and Zoom sessions.

HOURS: Tutor contact hours – 72 GLH out of 128 hrs TQT for both qualifications, to run over six weekends via Zoom, with some extra meeting times in between.
START OF PRACTICAL COURSE DATES: 18-19 October 2025 (via Zoom)
An exciting opportunity to attain two regulated qualifications through the study of Antenatal and Postnatal Yoga in one cohesive course. The study will begin with e-learning for the theory parts – see the two sample e-learning videos below. The practical course dates will start on 18-19 October and will usually take place once a month for 6 months, excluding the busy month of December.
The Antenatal and Postnatal Yoga courses can be done separately but without the discount that applies when you enroll on both courses at the same time. If you missed the Intro Session, a recording can be sent to you along with the Course Summary, Syllabus and Application Form.

As above, this is an exciting opportunity to attain the new qualification with Laura as your main tutor. The study will begin with e-learning for the theory parts – see the sample e-learning video below. The practical course dates will be on 7-8 February, followed by 7-8 March and 4-5 April with final class assessment to take place by 31 July.

PREREQUISITES: A suitable mindbody teaching qualification in yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi. etc. During the course, you may need to complete a safeguarding adults course either locally or online unless you already have a certificate.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain a new qualification in teaching exercises suitable for active older adults who aim to prevent degeneration of muscles, joints, balance and cognition so that they can stay fit, healthy and independent for decades. With Rosemary as your main tutor, the study will begin with some e-learning for the theory part of the qualification – see sample e-learning video below.
The practical course dates will take place over three weekends. In-person attendance is ideal, but we understand when the weather or family situations make this difficult. Attendance via Zoom is available and there is excellent wifi at the Rixton with Glazebrook Community Hall in Warrington, Greater Manchester. In between course dates, group Zoom meetings may be scheduled.
